Outdoor Education is Concord's Learning for Life Programme that takes all students from Primary 1 to 6 through progressive outdoor experiences designed to build ruggedness, resilience, teamwork, and a deep appreciation for nature and the environment.
Outdoor Education @Concord
Outdoor Education @ Concord is a school-wide programme that involves all students from Primary 1 to Primary 6. Through these progressively planned activities, students experience varied levels of challenges and develop ruggedness (physical), resilience (mental & emotional), teamwork (social) and an appreciation of nature and their surrounding environment (aesthetics). Careful consideration is given to the design of activities to ensure the integration of 21st Century Competencies
Objectives of Outdoor Education @ Concord
Create opportunities for students to engage in learning activities outside the classroom / school environment.
Extend students’ learning of skills, knowledge and experiences beyond the classroom / school environment.
Develop strong character and engage the students’ minds and bodies through outdoor learning.
Promote greater awareness of the school values, leadership skills, Social Emotional Competencies, 21st Century Competencies through outdoor education.
