Band
Training young musicians in brass and percussion through discipline, ensemble, and performance.
Brass Band
The Brass Band is a co-curricular activity (CCA) that nurtures young musicians through the art of brass and percussion music. Open to students with a passion for music, the band provides a fun and engaging environment where members develop their instrumental skills while learning the importance of teamwork and discipline.
During practice sessions, students put our school’s core values into action. They demonstrate resilience as they work through challenges to improve their playing skills, show effort through consistent practice, and practise care by guiding and learning from one another.
Under the guidance of experienced band instructors, members are trained to play a range of brass instruments such as the cornet, trombone, and euphonium, as well as percussion instruments. Students gain valuable ensemble experience through regular rehearsals and performances at school events, national competitions, and community outreach programmes.
The Brass Band also participates in the biennial Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation and is provided with various platforms throughout the year to showcase their musical talents and growth.
