Choir
Concord Primary School’s Choir CCA, established in 2000, is a highly accomplished ensemble known for its discipline, passion, and artistic excellence.
Choir
Concord Primary School Choir was established in 2000 as a Dancing Choir and integrated as Soprano/ Alto choir in 2003. Concord’s commitment to its school choir and the dedication of its teachers, have helped the choristers develop a strong sense of discipline and passion for vocal training through the sensitive interpretation of their senses. The unity and devotion of the choristers can often be heard in the beauty and elegance of each song performed by the children.
The Choir has established itself as a recognized Choir nationally and internationally by achieving many awards. The Choir has also been invited to perform in many prestigious occasions and events
The Choir is a co-curricular activity (CCA) that nurtures students through the art of choral singing. Open to students with a passion for music and singing, the choir provides a supportive and engaging environment where members develop their vocal skills, musical awareness, and confidence while learning the value of teamwork and discipline.
Through regular rehearsals, students practise the school’s core values. They demonstrate resilience as they work on vocal techniques and musical accuracy, put in effort to refine their singing skills, and show care by listening to one another and supporting their peers to achieve a harmonious ensemble sound.
Under the guidance of experienced choir instructors, members are trained in proper vocal techniques, part-singing, and musical expression. Students gain valuable ensemble experience through rehearsals and performances at school events, national competitions, and community outreach programmes.
The Choir takes part in both the biennial Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation and the annual Singapore International Choral Festival and is given platforms throughout the year to showcase their musical talents, teamwork, and growth.
In April 2026, the Choir was featured as one of the performing acts at Esplanade – In Youthful Company, presenting a repertoire that showcased both contemporary and classical musical works.

To keep improving, the choristers are taught various singing techniques and exposed to a wide repertoire of songs in different international languages. The school’s support for the children to attend concerts by prestigious choirs all over the world and the choir exchanges have also enriched the choristers as they learn from each other. With the holistic approach to vocal training, we are hopeful that the choristers will soar to greater heights in singing.
Conductor: Ms. Angila Tan
