Science Key Programmes

Concord Science Inquiry Programme (CSI) and SPARKLE Kits

Primary 3 - Primary 6

The Concord Science Inquiry (CSI) Programme aims to develop students’ Ways of Thinking and Doing Science through purposeful learning experiences.

Students engage in rich discussions, hands-on investigations, and the use of SPARKLE kits to bring Science concepts to life in the classroom.

Hydroponics Programme

Primary 4

Hydroponics, a soilless farming technology widely used in Singapore, provides our students with an authentic and meaningful learning experience.

Through this hands-on programme, Primary 4 students cultivate vegetables using the school’s hydroponics system. Over four weeks, they journey from transplanting seedlings to harvesting mature plants, deepening their understanding of plant parts, growth processes, and sustainable food production.

High Achievers in Science Programme (for selected students)

The High Achievers in Science Programme nurtures Concordians who demonstrate strong aptitude and passion for Science.

They are challenged to extend their learning beyond the MOE Primary Science Syllabus through the E2K Science programme and are provided opportunities to represent the school in science-related competitions.

Ecopals @Concord (Environmental Education)

Every class appoints an Environmental Education Leader to advocate for environmental responsibility and raise awareness of global environmental challenges.

As a recognised Green School, Concord empowers students to lead and participate in meaningful sustainability initiatives. Through these efforts, our students develop a strong sense of stewardship and take action to protect our planet for future generations.

COL.OURS: Centre of Learning - Our Unique Research in Science

Primary 1 & Primary 2

We believe that the spirit of scientific inquiry begins early. Although there is no formal Science curriculum at the Primary 1 and 2 levels, our young learners are immersed in rich and engaging experiences that spark their curiosity about the world around them through the COL.OURS programme.

Through science videos, hands-on activities, students are encouraged to explore, ask questions and make discoveries.

COL.OURS lays a strong foundation for a lifelong love of Science by nurturing inquisitive minds and a sense of wonder in every child.
