Racial Harmony Day
Schools commemorate Racial Harmony Day (RHD) on 21 July each year to mark the anniversary of the 1964 race riots. On this day, students reflect on and celebrate Singapore as a harmonious society built on a rich diversity of cultures and the collaborative effort of all to promote social cohesion.
Concord Primary School celebrates Racial Harmony Day (RHD) as part of our national education initiatives. Through activities and conversations, we hope to help children develop a deeper understanding of racial harmony, multiculturalism, and social cohesion. Racial Harmony Day is observed to serve as a reminder to keep racial differences from dividing us and to instead use diversity as a source of strength.

This year, Concord Primary kick off the Racial Harmony Day commemoration with a concert that centres around the theme of Harmony in Diversity. Students were able to enjoy the skit that was heart-warming and included some participation by the students.
To wrap up the day, students were able to participate in various cultural activities during recess. Some lucky students were even able to bring back some goodies!
